Operand Applied Deploywithclients. Operand Applied is the forward-deployed function: teams embedded directly with PE fund clients and portfolio company management. These professionals use Operand's analytical systems to execute due diligence and value creation engagements, translating data infrastructure into investment decisions and operational outcomes. Backgrounds span strategy consulting (MBB), PE operating groups, and applied data science in industry. The work requires both analytical depth and the ability to operate credibly alongside investment professionals and C-suite operators. 01Engagement Leads Own client relationships and engagement delivery. Structure analytical workstreams, manage teams, and present findings to investment committees and boards. 02Applied Data Scientists Build and deploy analytical models on live engagements: pricing, demand, customer intelligence, competitive positioning. 03Forward-Deployed Engineers Stand up data infrastructure and analytical applications inside portfolio companies.
