Senior Frontend Engineer

As a Senior Frontend Engineer at Synapse Analytics, you'll be a technical leader, driving the development of complex and critical frontend systems. You'll take ownership of major features, contributing significantly to architectural decisions and ensuring the high quality, scalability, and maintainability of our applications. You'll also play a crucial role in mentoring and guiding less experienced engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Responsibilities Lead the technical design, development, and delivery of major frontend initiatives and complex features using React and TypeScript. Design and advocate for significant architectural decisions within the frontend domain, ensuring alignment with overall system architecture and best practices. Set and enforce high coding standards, best practices, and engineering principles across the team, leading by example in writing exemplary code. Mentor and coach Frontend Engineer I and II colleagues, providing deep technical guidance, fostering their growth, and leading technical discussions. Solve highly complex, ambiguous, and strategic technical challenges that have a broad impact on the product or engineering organization. Collaborate extensively with product managers, UX/UI designers,backend engineers, and other stakeholders to define requirements, evaluate technical feasibility, and deliver robust, integrated solutions. Identify and address critical performance bottlenecks, scalability challenges, and accessibility concerns in frontend applications. Proactively identify, prioritize, and lead efforts to address technical debt. Research, evaluate, and propose new technologies and tools to improve the frontend stack and development processes. Act as a primary point of contact for complex frontend-related incidents, leading diagnosis and resolution. Clearly and regularly communicate complex technical designs and trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
