Job description Job Title: Backend Developer Location: Kolkata, West Bengal (or specify remote/hybrid options) Experience: 5+ years Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Developer with extensive experience in PostgreSQL and database architecture. The ideal candidate will be proficient in building scalable and efficient backend systems using ExpressJS. You will work closely with our development team to optimize databases, enhance application performance, and create robust backend solutions. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain backend services using ExpressJS . Architect, optimize, and manage PostgreSQL databases for high performance and scalability. Implement database schemas , indexing strategies, and query optimizations. Collaborate with frontend developers and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of backend services. Develop RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services. Ensure security best practices , including authentication and authorization. Perform code reviews , troubleshoot bugs, and optimize backend performance. Maintain documentation and participate in team discussions on system architecture. Requirements: 5+ years of experience in backend development. Expertise in PostgreSQL , including query optimization, replication, and indexing. Strong understanding of database architecture and relational database design principles. Proficiency in ExpressJS and Node.js.. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is a plus. Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD processes. Knowledge of Git , testing frameworks, and Agile development methodologies. Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with microservices architecture. Exposure to caching mechanisms like Redis. Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
