Our ambition: become the European leader of financial integration ​ Your Mission Sync is one of Chift's flagship integration products. We own the integration end-to-end for clients who want a turnkey, managed solution rather than building on top of our Unified API themselves. Where the API is built for developers, Sync is built for the people doing the actual accounting work: it's used directly by accountants, and the experience has to match their reality. The category is growing fast and matters a lot for where we want to take the company next. As Product Owner - Sync, you'll own this product. Accounting logic is at the heart of the role. You'll spend a lot of your time challenging how syncs handle real accounting flows, making them genuinely usable for accountants, and getting the product ready for an AI-native world. You sit at the crossroads of Client, CS, and Engineering, and you're the person who makes those three sides agree on what to build, when, and why. Key Responsibilities You'll sit at the center of three teams (Client, CS, Engineering) with full ownership of the Sync product. Run the Sync product end-to-end Sync is used directly by accountants, not by developers, and the experience has to match. You'll keep tightening what's already shipped, define the next iterations, and push hard on smoother onboarding, clearer monitoring, and an interface that respects the daily reality of an accounting team. Orchestrate every new sync from spec to production Most of the work is project management at the intersection of three sides: clients and CS surface the use case and the constraints, engineering ships the flow, and accounting reality is the source of truth that has to win every trade-off discussion. You're the person who keeps all three aligned, makes the calls, and pushes things over the finish line. Challenge the way syncs work today This is where deep accounting know-how pays off. You'll go into the existing flows, spot what's not quite right (the awkward mappings, the edge cases, the assumptions that don't hold for half our clients), and propose the changes that move the product forward. Adapt the product to an AI-native world AI is becoming part of how integrations are used and operated. You'll define what that means for Sync from the business side and turn it into a concrete roadmap with engineering. Improve the platform-side customer experience Sync activation, monitoring dashboards, error management, mapping screens. That's the surface our clients (and our CS team) live in every day. You'll review it critically and drive the product changes that make activation faster and monitoring genuinely useful for accounting users. Profile sought Experience: 5+ years in product, business analysis, or consulting roles tied to accounting software or financial integrations. You've already led a team of BAs or product analysts. Deep accounting knowledge: This is central to the role. You can read an accounting flow and immediately spot what's right, what's off, and what's about to break. You're familiar with accounting integrations, and you know how accountants actually work day to day. Product instinct: You translate fuzzy client problems into clean specs, prioritise ruthlessly, and say no when the right answer is no. AI-native: You already use Claude, AI agents, and similar tools in your daily work, and you have opinions on how agentic flows should reshape integrations. Bilingual: Comfortable working in both French and English. Our team and our clients live in both. Builder mentality: You're the kind of person who goes one layer deeper than asked, fixes the broken thing along the way, and ships the cleaner version because the messy one would have bothered you forever.
