Join our dynamic team, where innovation meets excellence, and help us redefine the boundaries of what's possible in FinTech.Job OverviewWe are looking for an In-House Legal Counsel who can partner closely with business, product, operations, compliance, HR, and leadership teams to manage day-to-day legal matters across the organisation.This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced fintech environment and can balance legal risk with practical business outcomes. The person will play a key role in handling contracts, data privacy, regulatory coordination, intellectual property, and overall legal governance for the company.Key ResponsibilitiesContracts & Commercial AgreementsDraft, review, negotiate, and manage:Client agreements,Vendor agreementsSaaS/platform agreements NDAs and Partnership/MoU agreements and Employment and consultant contractMaintain agreement repository and renewal trackingData Privacy & RegulatorySupport implementation and ongoing compliance with:DPDP Act &Data privacy frameworksInformation security and confidentiality obligationsWork closely with compliance and product teams on privacy-related mattersAssist in responding to customer/legal due diligence questionnairesIntellectual Property (IP)Support protection of company IP including trademarks, branding, product assets, and proprietary documentationCoordinate with external counsels for trademark filings, renewals, and IP-related mattersAdvise teams on IP usage, licensing, and risk mitigationLegal Advisory & Risk ManagementProvide practical legal guidance to internal stakeholders across departmentsIdentify legal and contractual risks and recommend mitigation strategiesSupport policy drafting and internal legal documentationCoordinate with external law firms when requiredCorporate & Governance SupportAssist with corporate legal filings, notices, and documentationSupport board/shareholder documentation where applicableEnsure legal documentation and records are maintained properlyWhat We’re Looking ForLLB / LLM from a recognised institution2–5 years of experience in legal roles, preferably in fintech, SaaS, banking, NBFC, or technology companiesStrong understanding of commercial contracts and data privacy lawsFamiliarity with DPDP and fintech regulatory ecosystem is preferredAbility to work independently and manage multiple stakeholdersStrong drafting, negotiation, and communication skillsBusiness-oriented mindset with practical problem-solving abilityExposure to RBI/regulatory ecosystemExperience working with startups or high-growth companiesAt Ignosis AI, a funded company with strong investor backing, you'll have the opportunity to make a significant impact.
