What you will do
- Design, develop, test, and support enterprise-grade microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build highly scalable and resilient APIs and backend services.
- Design and implement event-driven solutions using Kafka.
- Develop cloud-native applications deployed on PCF and containerised environments.
- Contribute to architecture discussions and technical design reviews.
What they are looking for
- Strong proficiency in Java (8+ years preferred).
- Expert knowledge of Spring Boot, Spring Framework, RESTful Services, JPA/Hibernate, and Multithreading and Concurrent Programming.
- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Design and Design Patterns.
- Hands-on experience with Kafka.
- Experience building asynchronous and event-driven architectures.
- Understanding of reliability patterns such as Outbox Pattern, Retry Mechanisms, Idempotency, and Dead Letter Queues.
- Experience with PCF (Pivotal Cloud Foundry).
- Strong Docker expertise.
- Experience developing cloud-native applications.
- Familiarity with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes/OpenShift.
- Understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, or similar relational databases.
