What you will do

  • Support Design Engineers in developing 3D CAD models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings for mechanical components, systems, and test hardware.
  • Develop and modify component and assembly designs based on engineering requirements, design inputs, and review feedback.
  • Perform basic engineering/design calculations under guidance to support component sizing and design decisions.
  • Prepare manufacturing drawings with appropriate dimensions, tolerances, fits, and GD&T.
  • Support tolerance stack-up, fit, clearance, and interface assessments for components and assemblies.

What they are looking for

  • Good fundamentals in engineering mechanics, strength of materials, machine design, and mechanical engineering.
  • Good 3D CAD modelling and engineering drawing skills.
  • Familiarity with SolidWorks is preferred. Candidates with experience in Creo, CATIA, or similar professional CAD platforms are also encouraged to apply.
  • Basic understanding of GD&T, fits, tolerances, and engineering drawings.
  • Ability to perform basic mechanical engineering calculations and apply engineering fundamentals to practical design problems.
  • Basic understanding of engineering materials, fasteners, and standard mechanical components.
  • Awareness of common manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, turning, milling, fabrication, and additive manufacturing.
