Summary
This role is dedicated to overseeing daily manufacturing operations to guarantee the successful attainment of production goals. The position serves as a pivotal link between shop floor execution and strategic objectives, ensuring that assembly processes run efficiently while maintaining strict adherence to quality protocols. By driving continuous improvement and optimizing resource allocation, the incumbent plays a critical part in enhancing overall productivity and operational stability.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily production workflows to ensure all targets are met on schedule.
Supervise and direct assembly and manufacturing line activities to maintain operational flow.
Enforce compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and quality benchmarks among all staff.
Analyze planned versus actual production outputs to pinpoint and address performance variances.
Track key performance indicators including cycle times, productivity rates, downtime, defect rates, and rework volumes.
Collaborate with Quality, Inventory, Maintenance, and Engineering departments to swiftly resolve operational challenges.
Detect production bottlenecks and facilitate the implementation of corrective measures.
Optimize workforce distribution and utilization to maximize efficiency.
Verify material readiness on the line and liaise with inventory teams to mitigate shortages.
Compile and maintain daily production documentation and Management Information System (MIS) reports.
Champion the adoption of 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing principles, and ongoing improvement programs.
Aid in line balancing and process refinement initiatives to boost overall output.
Uphold safety standards and ensure a secure working environment on the manufacturing floor.
Facilitate the introduction of new products or processes and assist in trial runs.
