Job Summary We are looking for a motivated Microsoft Fabric & Power BI Developer to join our growing Data & Analytics team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and supporting modern data solutions using Microsoft Fabric.

  • Understanding of Microsoft Fabric data engineering concepts and modern data architectures.
  • Knowledge of DirectLake connectivity and SQL Endpoints.
  • Understanding of Delta and Parquet file formats and modern data lake concepts.
  • Experience or knowledge of ETL/ELT processes, data ingestion, data transformation, and data integration.
  • Strong understanding of relational databases and SQL, including writing queries and performing standard table joins.
  • Practical experience or working knowledge of Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.

  • Working knowledge of DAX, including intermediate-level calculations and measures.

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated Microsoft Fabric & Power BI Developer to join our growing Data & Analytics team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and supporting modern data solutions using Microsoft Fabric.

You will work with data teams and business stakeholders to build reliable and scalable data solutions, transform and integrate data from multiple sources, troubleshoot data and performance issues, and support the organization's adoption of the Microsoft Fabric platform.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain modern data solutions using Microsoft Fabric.

Work with OneLake, Lakehouses, Data Pipelines, Dataflows Gen2, Delta Tables, and Fabric Workspaces.

Design and implement data ingestion, transformation, and integration pipelines.

Build and maintain Lakehouse tables using appropriate data structures and storage formats.

Transform and prepare structured and semi-structured data using Data Pipelines and Dataflows Gen2.

Work with Delta and Parquet data formats within modern data lake architectures.

Develop and optimize data workflows to ensure reliable and efficient data processing.

Troubleshoot pipeline failures, data quality issues, connectivity problems, and query performance bottlenecks.

Monitor and support Fabric capacity, workloads, and overall data platform performance.

Work with SQL Endpoints and DirectLake connectivity where applicable.

Validate data accuracy and consistency across data sources, pipelines, and Lakehouse tables.

Collaborate with data engineers, BI developers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective data solutions.

Participate in testing, deployment, documentation, and production support activities.

Follow data security, governance, and development best practices.

Stay updated with new Microsoft Fabric and cloud data platform capabilities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of practical experience working with Microsoft Fabric and its data engineering capabilities.

Good understanding of OneLake, Lakehouses, Lakehouse tables, Data Pipelines, Dataflows Gen2, Delta Tables, and Fabric Workspaces.

Understanding of Microsoft Fabric data engineering concepts and modern data architectures.

Knowledge of DirectLake connectivity and SQL Endpoints.

Understanding of Delta and Parquet file formats and modern data lake concepts.

Experience or knowledge of ETL/ELT processes, data ingestion, data transformation, and data integration.

Strong understanding of relational databases and SQL, including writing queries and performing standard table joins.

Practical experience or working knowledge of Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.

Good knowledge of Power Query for data cleaning, transformation, and preparation.
