At EY, we’re all in to shape your future with confidence.

We’ll help you succeed in a globally connected powerhouse of diverse teams and take your career wherever you want it to go. Join EY and help to build a better working world.

We are a professional services firm with a business unit dedicated to the financial services marketplace. Our teams have been at the forefront of every event that has reshaped and redefined the financial services industry. If you have a passion for rallying together to solve the most complex challenges in the financial services industry, come join our dynamic team!

We help our clients transform. Together we are changing the way they interact with their Customers, Employees and Partners alike. We are modernizing their applications, creating new ones and driving business efficiency across their ever-changing platform and channel infrastructures. Everything we do centers around this simple story.

The opportunity

As a Technology Service Delivery Manager, you’ll be based in our Service Delivery Center, which is made up of high-performing US-based colleagues who work closely with our experienced advisory professionals. We deliver Technology project-based work and managed services to our clients. Here, you’ll work as part of a project team and will be responsible for the design, build/configuration, testing, analysis, delivery and support of Technology solutions.

This position is fast-paced and ever-changing, which means you’ll need to be a flexible self-starter and be able to manage changing priorities and learning new and rapidly changing technology solutions.

We are looking for Data Engineers who will build scalable data platforms, pipelines, databases, and cloud data applications for our financial services clients. The team leverages Snowflake, ETL and streaming technologies, cloud platforms, and modern engineering practices to modernize enterprise data ecosystems. This role provides architecture, governance, and technical leadership across complex, enterprise-scale initiatives.

Your Key Responsibilities

The goal is to help clients solve complex business problems by delivering scalable, reliable, and well-governed data solutions. You will own end-to-end architecture and technology roadmaps, establish standards and delivery governance, lead cross-team decisions and modernization, and provide technical leadership that influences senior stakeholders and mentors other technical leaders.

Your leadership and management responsibilities

As a Service Delivery Manager, you’ll be accountable for how the work gets done as much as what gets built. You’ll set the technical direction for your teams, build the capability of the people around you, and give our clients and senior stakeholders the confidence that delivery is in safe hands.

Own end-to-end enterprise data architecture and technology roadmaps across complex, enterprise-scale initiatives, and hold the teams accountable for delivering against them.

Establish data modeling, metadata, lineage, governance, quality, and observability standards, and make sure they are consistently adopted across engagements.

Lead cross-team decisions, modernization efforts, dependencies, and technical risk, escalating and resolving issues before they affect client delivery.

Influence senior client and internal stakeholders, communicating technical direction and trade-offs in terms the business understands.

Mentor and develop technical leaders and engineers, providing coaching, feedback, and career guidance that helps our people grow.

Define reusable standards and drive organizational capability improvement, so that each engagement leaves the practice stronger than it found it.

Apply and champion data quality, security, testing, and automation standards across the teams you lead, and translate requirements into well-governed, reliable data solutions.

Skills and attributes for success

Deep hands-on experience building scalable data platforms, pipelines, databases, and cloud data applications using Snowflake, ETL, streaming, and cloud technologies.

Build resilient batch and streaming pipelines and design data models and cloud data applications.

Establish and apply data modeling, metadata, lineage, quality, and observability standards.

Resolve production data issues and document lineage and controls.

Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% of the time.

To qualify for the role you must have

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

At least 6 years of relevant experience in data engineering, data architecture, and cloud data platforms.

Deep hands-on experience with Snowflake and enterprise data platform development.

Strong experience with ETL, streaming, and integration technologies such as Informatica, SnapLogic, and Kafka.

Expertise in data modeling, SQL, database design, and performance tuning.

Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.

Experience with Python, containers, and Kubernetes.

Experience with Jenkins, Artifactory, uDeploy, and CI/CD pipelines.

Proven experience leading enterprise data architecture, establishing governance standards, and mentoring technical leaders.

Comfortable working in Agile environments and collaborating with senior business and technical stakeholders.

Ideally, you’ll also have

Experience with the following technologies

Snowflake and enterprise cloud data platforms

ETL, streaming, Informatica, SnapLogic, and Kafka

Data modeling, SQL, database design, and performance tuning

AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud

Python, containers, and Kubernetes
