Job Details:

Job Description:

Build the Future of AI and GPU Computing

Are you passionate about computer graphics, artificial intelligence, and solving complex hardware–software challenges? Join Intel’s Data Center Group and work with leading engineers, customers, and design partners to enable the next generation of discrete GPU and AI products.

We are seeking a Software Development Engineer with expertise in diagnostics, platform software, and AI workloads. You will design software used for silicon and board bring-up, hardware validation, system integration, manufacturing, benchmarking, and product optimization. Your work may span firmware, device drivers, operating systems, middleware, frameworks, algorithms, applications, and supporting tools.

What You Will Do

Design, develop, integrate, and validate diagnostic and AI software for Intel GPU and data center AI products.

Build board-level and system-level diagnostics for silicon bring-up, hardware validation, system integration, manufacturing, and customer enablement.

Create capabilities ranging from low-level hardware access to full-feature stress, performance, and functional testing.

Collaborate early with silicon, board, system, firmware, driver, validation, and customers to define diagnostic requirements and strategy.

Own the full software lifecycle, including definition, architecture, development and maintenance.

Develop and optimize AI workloads, benchmarks, simulations, and reference software to support power, performance, and architecture analysis.

Debug complex system-wide issues involving interactions between hardware and software.

Develop tools and infrastructure that improve profiling, optimization, productization, and engineering efficiency.

Partner with internal and external stakeholders to deliver integrated, production-ready solutions.

Drive innovative approaches that make Intel’s AI and GPU diagnostics best in class.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field with 4+ years of relevant experience; or a master’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience; or a PhD.

Strong programming skills in C, C++, and Python.

Experience developing platform software, firmware, device drivers, diagnostics, or other low-level software.

Solid understanding of software development practices, including design, debugging, testing, validation, and optimization.

Strong knowledge of hardware and software engineering concepts, diagnostic test methods, and debug techniques.

Ability to solve complex problems that span hardware, firmware, drivers, and applications.

Clear communication, sound decision-making, and effective collaboration across global, cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

Hands-on experience developing diagnostic software for GPU, AI accelerator, data center, or other complex compute products.

Understanding of board-level and chip-level architecture, board design processes, and hardware testing.

Experience working closely with hardware and electrical engineering teams during product development and debug.

Knowledge of GPU architecture, memory, PCIe, and high-performance computing systems.

Experience with machine learning or deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.

Experience developing or optimizing AI workloads for benchmarking, simulation, or pre-silicon power and performance analysis.

Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical work, learn new technologies independently, and turn ambiguous challenges into practical solutions.

Why Join Us

This role offers the opportunity to work across the full technology stack, influence product architecture, collaborate with diverse experts, and deliver solutions that improve how advanced AI and GPU products are brought to life.

If you are excited by deep technical challenges and want your work to have visible impact across Intel’s AI and graphics portfolio, we invite you to apply.

Business Group

This role is part of Intel’s Data Center Group (DCG), which designs and delivers technologies that power cloud computing and data-driven innovation across industries. DCG advances scalable, high-performance computing for demanding workloads and helps enable the next generation of AI solutions.
