About The Role
The HR Ally is seeking an experienced Functional Business Analyst – Dynamics 365 CRM & Finance & Operations (FinOps) to work with business stakeholders and delivery teams to analyse business requirements, map processes, and define functional solutions aligned with Microsoft Dynamics 365 capabilities.
The ideal candidate will have strong functional knowledge of Dynamics 365 CRM and Finance & Operations, with proven experience in requirements gathering, process analysis, functional documentation, stakeholder engagement, and user acceptance testing.
Required Skills & Experience
5–10 years of relevant experience as a Functional Business Analyst, Dynamics 365 Functional Consultant, or in a similar role.
Strong practical understanding of Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM and Finance & Operations (FinOps).
Proven experience in requirements gathering, business process analysis, and translating business needs into functional specifications.
Understanding of Dynamics 365 configuration, data structures, integrations, and end-to-end business processes.
Experience documenting user stories, process flows, business rules, and acceptance criteria.
Hands-on involvement in functional testing, UAT coordination, defect management, and solution validation.
Strong stakeholder management, workshop facilitation, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with business users and technical delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities
Lead stakeholder workshops and discussions to understand business processes, requirements, challenges, and desired outcomes across Dynamics 365 CRM and FinOps.
Gather, analyse, and document business requirements, functional specifications, user stories, business rules, and acceptance criteria.
Map current-state and future-state business processes, identifying gaps, dependencies, and opportunities for improvement.
Evaluate business requirements against standard Dynamics 365 functionality and recommend appropriate functional solutions.
Support solution walkthroughs, functional testing, UAT, defect triage, and issue resolution.
Manage stakeholder expectations and maintain alignment on scope, priorities, requirements, and functional dependencies.
Support end-to-end business process validation across CRM and Finance & Operations.
Ideal Candidate Profile
We are looking for a functional specialist who can bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams, understand business processes, and translate requirements into practical Dynamics 365 solutions.
Candidates should have a balanced functional understanding of both Dynamics 365 CRM and FinOps , with the ability to work independently in an Australian onshore environment.
