What you will do
- Design and test full or sub sections of PCBAs on the system, such as power distribution boards, battery management systems, sensing boards, motor controllers, and compute boards
- Integrate and test tactile, IMU, encoder, and force/torque sensor modalities for closed-loop robotic control
- Help optimize PCB layouts for thermal performance, EMI/EMC, and signal-integrity requirements
- Support system integration and test activities by contributing to test execution and problem diagnostics and resolution
- Work closely with mechanical and software teams to validate electrical designs in real robotic systems
What they are looking for
- Pursuing a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- Project experience with PCB design, bring-up, and debugging
- Strong EE fundamentals
- Experience with power electronics (motor driver, switch mode power supplies…), digital electronics (MCU, Ethernet, USB, SPI, I2C…), and analog electronics (filters, ADC/DAC…)
- Familiarity with high-speed design and layout
- Hands-on experience with electronics lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and power analyzers
- PCB design experience in KiCad or Altium, including schematic capture, multi-layer layout, and component libraries
Nice to have
- Experience with Flex PCB Design
- Experience using LTspice, Python, and Matlab
- Basic understanding of mechanical design fundamentals
