What you will do
- Lead engineering and operational management for highly available, large-scale Oracle database fleets.
- Drive Oracle 19c performance analysis, complex tuning, diagnostics, and reliability improvements.
- Design and implement database architecture, access methods, allocation strategies, validation controls, protection, and security standards.
- Build scalable fleet-management automation and tooling using Python and/or Shell scripting.
- Lead technical analysis for database upgrades, patches, enhancements, and architectural changes.
What they are looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 6–8 years of Oracle Database Engineering, Administration, SRE experience.
- Deep expertise with Oracle 19c, including RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, ASM, SQL optimization, performance diagnostics, and HA/DR design.
- Strong Python and/or Shell scripting experience for automation, diagnostics, monitoring, and operational tooling.
- Demonstrated experience leading complex database changes, upgrades, and reliability initiatives.
- Strong understanding of database security, observability, capacity planning, and cloud-scale operations.
- Proven technical leadership, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Excellent written and spoken English, critical thinking, and ability to operate effectively in a demanding environment.
