What you will do
- Design structural and precision components for robotic hands and humanoid systems.
- Create assemblies, drawings, and release-ready documentation for prototypes and manufactured parts.
- Develop and build custom fixtures and jigs for assembly, test, and characterization.
- Test mechanisms and integrated systems; support debugging, tuning, and performance validation.
- Drive design iterations from test feedback, failure analysis, and manufacturing constraints.
What they are looking for
- Pursuing a BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
- Strong foundation in engineering first principles, mechanics, and design for manufacturability.
- Proficiency with CAD software for complex part and assembly design, such as SolidWorks or Fusion 360.
- Hands-on experience building and testing prototypes quickly.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in a cross-functional hardware team.
Nice to have
- Experience with machining, rapid prototyping, or precision manufacturing.
- Experience with actuators and geartrains, including strain-wave, planetary, cycloidal, or ball-screw systems.
- Exposure to electromechanical integration: sensors, motors, motor drivers, wiring, and communication buses.
- Prior experience taking a mechanical product from concept to production.
