Power BI Developer

Position: Power BI Analyst

Location: Sydney

Contract: 6+ Months and Extendable

To meet these objectives, the Power BI Analyst will include the following:

 Gather business requirements and translate them into effective Power BI dashboards and reports.

 Connect, clean, and transform data from multiple sources using Power Query.

 Design and develop interactive reports, dashboards, and data visualizations in Power BI.

 Create and manage data models, relationships, and calculations using DAX.

 Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance optimization in reports.

 Implement rowlevel security (RLS) and follow data governance and security standards.

 Collaborate with stakeholders to understand KPIs and present insights clearly.

 Monitor report performance and optimize datasets and refresh schedules.

 Support users by troubleshooting data issues and enhancing existing reports.

 Document reports, data models, and processes to ensure knowledge sharing and maintainability.

Required Qualifications

 Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Statistics, or a related

field.

 Proven experience working with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.

 Strong knowledge of data modeling, DAX, and Power Query (M language).

 Experience working with SQL and relational databases (Azure SQL, SQL Server, etc.).

 Understanding of ETL concepts and data warehousing principles.
