About the role

from listing

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced FP&A Reporting Analyst to join a large, complex organisation operating across Australia and New Zealand. This role will suit a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys working with detailed financial data, partnering with stakeholders across multiple sites and turning financial results into meaningful business insights.

With a strong focus on monthly reporting and financial consolidation, you will play a key role in bringing together results from across the business, understanding performance drivers and supporting senior leadership with accurate, timely and insightful reporting.

The Role

Reporting within a centralised finance function, you will work closely with Finance Professionals, General Managers, sales teams and operational stakeholders to consolidate financial results, challenge variances and develop a clear picture of business performance.

Key responsibilities will include:

Consolidating monthly financial results across multiple sites, states and multiple cost centres throughout Australia and New Zealand.

Working with Finance Managers to ensure reporting is accurate, complete and delivered within tight month-end deadlines.

Investigating variances, challenging assumptions and gathering meaningful commentary to explain financial performance.

Preparing monthly management reporting packs, Excel and financial planning system reports, executive submissions and quarterly business review presentations.

Supporting annual budgeting and maintaining rolling 18-month forecasts in collaboration with finance, sales and operational teams.

Analysing key business drivers, including revenue, sales volumes, price and product mix, raw material costs, labour, overtime, plant downtime, freight, energy and overheads.

Working with operational and commercial stakeholders to understand margin movements, identify cost pressures and highlight opportunities to improve business performance.

Contributing to ongoing improvements in reporting processes, data quality and financial analysis.

About You

You are an analytical and organised finance professional who can confidently work with large volumes of financial data while understanding the commercial and operational factors behind the numbers.

To be successful, you will bring:

Experience in FP&A, management reporting or commercial finance, ideally at Senior Analyst level.

Demonstrated experience consolidating financial results across multiple sites, business units or cost centres.

Strong budgeting, forecasting and month-end reporting capabilities.

The confidence to engage with Finance Managers and operational stakeholders, ask the right questions and challenge results where required.

Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial reporting and planning systems.

The ability to translate complex financial information into clear, concise commentary for senior leadership.

Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to coordinate multiple inputs against competing deadlines.

Happy to work onsite 5 days a week

Experience in manufacturing, industrials or another operationally complex environment will be highly regarded, particularly where you have worked with detailed production costs, inventory, labour and plant performance.

The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity to join a large, multi-site ANZ organisation with a complex operational footprint and a well-established finance function.

You will gain broad exposure to business performance across multiple locations, work closely with senior finance and operational leaders, and play an important role in delivering the financial insights that support decision-making across the business.

If you enjoy bringing numbers together, understanding what drives performance and producing reporting that tells a meaningful commercial story, we'd love to hear from you.
